YOUR ENTRIES MAY BE POSTED PUBLICLY IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST. SPONSOR’S CHOICE TO POST YOUR ENTRY IN A CONTEST GALLERY OR OTHERWISE IS NOT AN INDICATION THAT YOU ARE A WINNER OR MAY BE A WINNER IN THIS CONTEST. LIKEWISE, SPONSOR MAY MAKE AN ONLINE VOTING MECHANISM AVAILABLE FOR PEOPLE TO SHOW THEIR SUPPORT FOR POSTED ENTRIES; HOWEVER, VOTES WILL HAVE NO IMPACT ON THE SELECTION OF WINNERS IN THIS CONTEST.
OVERVIEW: “The 2017 Ultimate High School Graduation…With America’s Favorite Judge!” Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by CBS Television Distribution, 2450 Colorado Avenue, Suite 500E, Santa Monica, CA 90404, a division of CBS Studios Inc. (“Sponsor”). The Contest starts at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on March 13, 2017 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on April 7, 2017 (the “Promotion Period”). Eastern Time shall control for all purposes of this Contest. The Contest is governed by these Official Rules and is void wherever prohibited by law.
To submit an entry in this Contest, you must be:
•a legal resident of one (1) of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia;
•13 years of age or older;
•a high school senior at a high school that is accredited or recognized by the jurisdiction in which it is located who is actively enrolled at that high school and eligible for graduation in the Spring of 2017; and
•a registered user in good standing of Facebook.
Students who are home schooled are not eligible to win this Contest. Any individuals who have, within one year prior to the start date of the Contest, performed services for Sponsor, or its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and successor companies or any organizations responsible for fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the Contest or supplying any prize (individually and collectively “Contest Entity” and “Contest Entities”), and the immediate family and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to submit an Entry (defined below) in this Contest. “Immediate family members” shall mean parents,
rights and responsibilities of a minor under the Official Rules are conferred and assumed respectively by the minor’s parent or legal guardian in representation of the minor.
2. HOW TO ENTER
To submit an Entry, the entrant (the “Entrant”) must visit the official Judge Judy Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/JudgeJudy (the “Web Site”) and click on the link for the Contest and then follow the instructions for filling out the entry form as directed (the “Entry Form”) with the following information: your full name, date of birth, home address, phone number (including area code), e- mail address, and the Essay Entry Material (defined below), and all other required information (“Entry Material”). If you are attempting to access the Entry Form via a mobile device, you may be redirected to the Entry Form outside of the Facebook platform, but all requirements stated above for entry will still apply.
Your essay must discuss how the people, programs and/or special spirit at your high school make it stand out from the rest in 250 words or less (the “Essay Entry Material”). All Essay Entry Material must comply with these Official Rules, including the Submission Requirements included below. [NOTE: Your Entry Form information does not count toward your 250 word essay count.]
All entry forms and entry materials (collectively referred to as the “Entry” or “Entries”) must be received by the close of the Promotion Period. Limit one (1) Entry per person and/or email address per day for the duration of the Contest. Group entries not permitted. Entries must include completed Entry Material to be considered. As a condition of entering the Contest, each entrant gives consent for Sponsor and its representative to obtain and deliver his or her name, address, and other information to third parties for the purpose of administering this Contest and complying with applicable laws, regulations, and rules. Sponsor is not responsible for changes to Facebook or its functionality that may interfere with the Contest or ability of an entrant to timely enter or otherwise participate at all.

3. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Entry Material must meet the following requirements (“Submission Requirements”) with failure to comply resulting in the associated Entry being disqualified in Sponsor’s sole discretion:
•Entry Material must be written in English.
•Entry Material must be originally created by Entrant, not copied or plagiarized.
•Entrant must own all rights and copyrights in the Entry Material/Entry, have full rights and authority to grant Sponsor the rights, title, interests and copyrights to use the Entry Material/Entry, as provided in these Official Rules, and have acquired any necessary permissions and releases with respect to the Entry Material/Entry
•Entry Material must not create or imply any association between Sponsor and any individual, entity, company, or anyone else, or his, her or its brands, products or services.
•Entry Material must be unpublished and not submitted to be published by any publication, and must not have been submitted in any other contest, promotion, or competition.
•Entry Material must not identify, reference, or depict any company or any other company’s brands, products, or services.
•Entry Material must not contain the image or likeness of or reference in any identifiable way (for example, by first and last name, or by any part of a name that is identifiable) any person other than the Entrant, including, but not limited to, any depictions of celebrities, unless the Entrant has obtained consent from such person(s) and Entrant will provide such consents to Sponsor on request.
•Entry Material must not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any rights of any third party including, without limitation, copyright (including moral rights), trademark, trade secret, or rights of privacy or publicity.
•Entry Material must not include information or content that is false, fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, defamatory, threatening, trade libelous, slanderous, libelous, disparaging, unlawfully harassing, profane, obscene, pornographic, hateful, indecent, inappropriate or injurious to any individual, any Contest Entity, or any third party.
•Entry Material must not contain or describe any harmful or illegal activity or content or in any way violate any federal, state, or local laws, rules or regulations.
•Entry Material must be suitable for presentation in a public forum.
•Entry Material must not suggest, depict, or describe any inappropriate, unlawful, or dangerous behavior or use of Sponsor’s or any other products or services.
•Entrant agrees that his/her participation in the Contest and agreement to these Official Rules and any Contest Entities display and use of the Entry Material content will not violate any agreement to which entrant is a signatory or party.
Entrant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor and/or Contest Entities from and against any and all claims and/or threats of claims from any third party for any use or reuse by any Contest Entity of your Entry or breach and/or claim of breach of any Submission Requirements.
Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify from the Contest and/or remove from displaying or publishing any Entry or Entry Material that, in its sole discretion, refers, depicts, or in any way reflects negatively upon a Contest Entity, the Contest, or any other person or entity or does not comply with these requirements or these Official Rules.
4. JUDGING CRITERIA AND WINNER SELECTION
Eligible Entry Material will be judged, and the winning Entry selected, as described below by a panel of judges chosen in Sponsor’s sole discretion (“the Judges”).
a.Judging Criteria. Entries will be judged against other entrants on the following criteria according to the percentage weights indicated: how the people, programs or special spirit at your high school make it stand out from the rest (70%) and creativity (30%) (the “Judging Criteria”). Each eligible Entry will be scored in accordance with the Judging Criteria.
b.Potential Winners. The Judge will evaluate Entries that have complied with these Official Rules (“Eligible Entries”) based on the Judging Criteria. Each entry will receive a score based on the Judging Criteria. The Sponsor will select the top ten (10) entries receiving the highest scores based on the Judging Criteria, and these entrants will be deemed “Potential Winners.” In the event of a tie, comparing the tied Entries’ creativity score will break the tie. Potential Winners do not win a prize, but may be considered in the Final Judgment (described below). Sponsor will contact the Potential Winners and request that the Potential Winners (or the Potential Winner’s parent/legal guardian, if entrant is a minor) provide written consent within seven (7) days of Sponsor’s request to have the entrant’s school verify the entrant’s eligibility for graduation. Sponsor will also contact the high school of the Potential Winners to obtain the school’s written consent to have Judge Judy give a commencement speech at the school should the Potential Winner’s Entry be deemed the winning entry after Final Judgment, along with a release of liability and, where legal, a publicity release to “Judge Judy” and/or Sponsor without alteration in the timeframe specified by Sponsor. Each high school must provide such written consent within seven (7) days of Sponsor’s request. Each high school must transmit to Sponsor verification of a Potential Winner’s graduation eligibility within seven (7) days. A Potential Winner will be disqualified from consideration in the Final Judgment if: (a) the Potential Winner (or the Potential Winner’s parent, if the Potential Winner is a minor) does not provide written consent for graduation eligibility verification; (b) the Potential Winner’s high school does not provide consent to have Judge Judy speak by the deadline; or (c) the Potential Winner’s high school does not timely verify a Potential Winner’s graduation eligibility.
c.Final Judgment. From among the verified Potential Winners, Judge Judy shall select one (1) Winner of the Contest based on her independent application of the Judging Criteria, in her sole and absolute discretion.
5. WINNER NOTIFICATION
The Entrant selected to win the Contest will be notified by email and/or telephone, using the email address and telephone number provided on his/her Entry, by approximately April 28, 2017. In the event the Entrant selected to win the Contest (a) is deemed ineligible, (b) fails to comply with these Official Rules, (c) does not respond to notification within
6.QUANTITY, PRIZES, AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”)
a.Quantity. One (1) Winner will be chosen.
b.Prize. Judge Judy will travel to the winner’s High School to give a commencement speech (the “Prize”). Prize is subject to Judge Judy’s availability.
c.Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”). There is no ARV for the Prize.
The Prize, if legitimately claimed, will be awarded. Prize details not specifically stated in these Official Rules will be determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
Prize is subject to any and all applicable terms and conditions. No transfer, substitution or replacement of Prize permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value (or cash equivalent). All prize details are subject to change at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
If a winner does not accept or use the entire Prize, the unaccepted or unused part of the Prize will be forfeited and Sponsor will have no further obligation with respect to that prize or portion of the prize. No transfers, prize substitutions or cash redemptions will be made. No more than the stated Prize will be awarded.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO RELEASE, DISCHARGE, HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY SPONSOR AND THE RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS OF EACH (COLLECTIVELY, WITH “JUDGE JUDY” AND FACEBOOK, INC., THE “RELEASED PARTIES”) FROM AND AGAINST ANY CLAIMS, DAMAGES, DISABILITY, ATTORNEYS' FEES, AND COSTS OF LITIGATION AND SETTLEMENT, AS WELL AS ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR INJURIES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND SUSTAINED IN CONNECTION WITH PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST OR THE USE, ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, MISUSE OR AWARDING OF THE PRIZE, WHILE PREPARING FOR, PARTICIPATING IN AND/OR TRAVELING TO OR FROM ANY PRIZE OR
EACH ENTRANT UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES THAT ALL RIGHTS UNDER SECTION 1542 OF THE CIVIL CODE OF CALIFORNIA AND ANY SIMILAR LAW OF ANY STATE OR TERRITORY OF THE UNITED STATES ARE HEREBY EXPRESSLY WAIVED BY HIM/HER. SECTION 1542 READS AS FOLLOWS:
“CERTAIN CLAIMS NOT AFFECTED BY A GENERAL RELEASE. A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS WHICH THE CREDITOR DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE, WHICH IF KNOWN BY HIM OR HER MUST HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS OR HER SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR.”
9. PUBLICITY RELEASE; USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
By entering, Entrants agree and consent to allow Sponsor to use and/or publish his/her full name, city and state of residence, Entry and Essay Entry Materials, photographs or other likenesses, pictures, portraits, voice, testimonials, and biographical information (in whole or in part), worldwide and in perpetuity for any and all purposes, including, but not limited to, advertising, trade and/or promotion on behalf of Sponsor, in any and all forms of media, now known or hereafter devised, including, but not limited to, print, TV, radio,
cable, electronic, or World Wide Web, without further limitation, restriction, compensation, notice, review, or approval to the extent permitted by law. Also by entering the Contest, Entrants will be sharing their personal information with Sponsor. Personal information collected by Sponsor will be used for administration of the Contest and awarding the prize. Furthermore, by entering, Entrants agree to the use of entrant’s personal information as described in the Judge Judy Program (“Program”) privacy policies at http://www.judgejudy.com. Please refer to the Program’s privacy policies for important information regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information by Sponsor.
10. ADDITIONAL DISCLAIMERS
The Released Parties are not responsible for any changes to or unavailability of the Facebook platform or the Entry Form that may interfere with the Contest (including any limitations, any restrictions, or any conditions on Sponsor's ability to use the Facebook platform for the Contest as set forth herein) or ability of entrant to timely enter, receive notices or communicate with Sponsor, in which case Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may terminate or modify the Sweepstakes. Without limiting the foregoing, the Released Parties are not responsible or liable for any of the following, whether caused by a Released Party, “Judge Judy”, the entrant, or by any other individual or entity: any entries that are submitted by illegitimate means (such as, without limitation, by an automated computer program) or entries in excess of the stated limit; lost, late, incomplete, illegible, garbled, mutilated, or misdirected entries,

11. DISPUTES/GOVERNING LAW; FORUM SELECTION CLAUSE
Except where prohibited, as a condition of participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the entrant and Sponsor, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, the prize awarded, or the determination of the winner must be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will an entrant be permitted or entitled to obtain an award for, and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys’ fees, other than entrant’s actual
